Summer's bounty

This latest shoot came out of the blue today, as I was picking some of the beautiful fruits our little garden is producing. Each plant had such a lovely, rich color, and the sun was just beginning to set- my favorite lighting, and then I picked this bunch of grapes. And they were perfection of the highest kind. These grapes were just begging me to take out my trusty Fujifilm and snap away, and then I saw these tomatoes that were this to-die-for shade of sunny yellow, and my brain exploded- I needed a model! So I grabbed my little sister, and we captured these:

 Just for kicks and grins, we'll throw my baby brother into the mix. 

That shirt was the best color!

I'll post more after they've been edited. But I am very satisfied with them, because the color pops just the way it's supposed to.

Grape escape

We have grapes in our backyard, and they are amazing. Nothing better than walking outside and grabbing a lovely, juicy treat warm from the sun and fresh.

 we are also growing some yummy peas. :^)

Sun and Rain

Aren't these magical?? The sun was so perfect I had to run and get a few shots before the light faded out- which turned out to be unbelievably quick, because the lighting was even more lovely before I got out my trusty Fujifilm. Just goes to show you- always have a camera on hand.

Simple pleasures- summer edition.

 I cannot tell you how much I love the way this one turned out!! The wacky focus on the couch looks so neat.

There are few things that are better in life than these: Two little brothers who love to smile and eat, and homemade watermelon popsicles. Just slice the watermelon, poke a stick in there, and freeze! They are a beautiful color, and almost always end up covered in frost. Swoon!

The happiest place on earth...

Last weekend we (my choir and I) went to the Happiest Place on Earth. Oh yeah, we also went to Disneyland. :^) Allow me to explain...
